Boxer dogs are an all around great breed, especially skilled in hunting and police work, and are always alert and vigilant, making for a very instinctive guard dog. The full grown female Boxer dog stands at 21 to 25 inches at the shoulder, and can weigh anywhere from 50 to 65 lbs. Whereas the male boxer can be somewhat taller and weigh up to 15 lbs. heavier. Boxer dogs have a short, smooth coat, that comes in the basic colors of brindle & fawn. The fawn color can vary from tawny tan to a beautiful shade of stag red. Whereas the color brindle, can sometimes be sparse or in between, or dense. One of the beauty standards for boxer dogs is their white markings or "flash" and it adds to their look and usually doesn't cover more than one third of their entire body.
